     Pancho is a ten-year-old boy who attends a bullfight in the city.  When the bull injures the matador, Pancho relates the possibility of death to his mother's poor health.
     His father, trying to cheer him, tells part of an ancient mayan story, launching Pancho on a mission to find the underworld.  He reconciles reality and myth as he searches for answers. The exotic location, culture and family is explored as he picks up clues to finding a cave, a treasure and a cure.
